At A.S.H.A., we train young boys and girls from the economically weaker segments of society who wish to take up CARE-GIVING as their profession. They are trained in the field of ELDER CARE and ALZHEIMER CARE which will secure their employment and lead to their better livelihood. There is an extreme scarcity of such trained caregivers in India and we wish to prepare an army of such caregivers as the number of Senior Citizens are increasing day by day due to improved longevity.
We are “Industrial Partner” of Home Management and Care Givers Sector Skill Council / DWSSC (Domestic Workers Sector Skill Council) under the National Skill Development Corporation, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship for the job roles of Elder Care & Alzheimer’s Care to strengthen the Skilled Labour in this field.
Compassion is a cornerstone of caregiving for Alzheimer's patients. These individuals often face profound cognitive and emotional changes, and it takes a special kind of empathy to provide the care and understanding they require. Caregivers should not only tend to the practical needs of the patient but also offer emotional support to both the patient and their family. This compassionate approach is a source of solace and strength in a challenging situation.
In recognition of the critical role caregivers play, our organization places a strong emphasis on their well-being. We facilitate regular caregiver meetings, social interactions, and seminars to provide a platform for caregivers to share experiences, learn from one another, and receive the emotional support they need.
We also extend these services online through a “Caregivers’ Forum.” This serves as a digital haven for caregivers who are often in need of assistance, information, and emotional support. Alzheimer's caregiving can be an emotionally and mentally demanding journey, and having a platform like this can be a lifeline for those navigating these challenges. The group is a dynamic space where members can share their experiences, ask questions, and seek guidance on various aspects of caring for Alzheimer's patients.
The presence of panel doctors associated with HEA ensures that medical queries and concerns can be addressed promptly and accurately, offering peace of mind to caregivers. The participation of willing senior citizens in this group not only brings a different perspective but also serves as a testament to the intergenerational support system we aim to foster. The group operates through the phone number: 98100-30302.
